Mesquite Groove 9

It’s the time of the semester when students start winding down and thinking about summer vacation, but before all of that KTAI’s 91.1 will end the semester with its yearly concert, Mesquite Groove Nine.

Everyone at Texas A&M University-Kingsville (TAMUK) and the community are invited to attend the free concert that will take place on May 2 at Mesquite Grove Park.

The show with a theme “Nine Lives Left” will start at 5 p.m. and run through 11 p.m.
Local bands such as Vellocet, Liquid Cash, Random Thought, Dialogue Box and headliners Freakstarr will be showcasing the event.

“This is my baby, I’ve been involved since Mesquite Groove Six, and in control since Mesquite Groove Seven,” Sonny Garcia, Program Director of KTAI said.

For more information on Mesquite Groove contact Sonny Garcia at 593-2137 or at myspace.com/ktai911fm.
