Travel Policy Statement 

 

Texas A&M University-Kingsville is a public institution, therefore, all expense records, regardless of fund source, are open to the public under the federal Freedom of Information Act. Travel expenses must be reasonable and necessary to accomplish the University's mission. 

If you are traveling as an individual or with students, we are here to assist with the necessary information, forms, and answers to any questions you may have.

The Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts has adopted the State of Texas Travel Allowance Guide to help state agencies and state officers and employees comply with the travel laws enacted by the legislature.

All state officers and employees should be familiar with the guide because they must comply with it before their travel expenses may be paid or reimbursed.
