The Health Physics/Nuclear Engineering Scholarship
This is one of TAMUK' s largest scholarships. It represents one of the major components in the student educational pipeline that has been created between the Department of Nuclear Engineering and Health Physics/Nuclear Engineering at TAMUK. Only students who have demonstrated superior academic and leadership promise will be considered.
This scholarship program will be open to incoming freshmen, transfer students, and students currently enrolled at TAMUK who express an interest in pursuing a career in radiological or Health Physics/Nuclear Engineering, biophysics or nuclear engineering.
This scholarship has a value of $2,500 per year, with possible renewal each year and is awarded at the beginning of each semester to students who meet the criteria.
To continue the Health Physics/Nuclear Engineering Scholarship program for a second semester, the student must have successfully completed 12 credit hours with a minimum of GPA of 2.75.
The scholarship will be renewed if the student maintains a cumulative GPA of 2.75 and completes a minimum of 24 credit hours each year.
The typical time frame for this scholarship is four years. However, given exceptional circumstances, the Selection Committee may waive this condition and award the scholarship for a ninth semester.
