Dr. Emil Badici
      Assistant Professor, Philosophy

Dr. Emil Badici

I’m an Assistant Professor of Philosophy. I received a B.A. from Bucharest University (1997) and a Ph.D. from the University of Florida (2007), where I wrote a dissertation on the Liar Paradox. I have research interests in Logic, Philosophy of Language, Metaphysics and Modern Philosophy. I have published articles in journals such as Hume Studies, the Australasian Journal of Philosophy, Inquiry, and Pacific Philosophical Quarterly. My favorite pastime is thinking, which is not as hard as you might imagine. In fact, in good Cartesian tradition, I prefer to put my existence on hold whenever I stop thinking. When I’m not racking my brain trying to solve puzzles and paradoxes (which I’m a big fan of), I’m thinking about the meaning of life, the meaning of afterlife and, of course, the meaning of meaning.
