Miller Analogies Test (MAT)
The Miller Analogies Test (MAT) is a high level mental ability test requiring the solution of problems stated analogies. It consists of 120 partial analogies that are to be completed in 60 minutes. In the MAT, one term in each analogy has been replaced with four options, only one of which is correct. The examinee is expected to select the option that creates a valid analogy. The MAT contains analogies in each of nine content categories, including language usage, mathematics, physical sciences, biological sciences, social studies, history, literature, philosophy, fine arts, and general information.
The computer-based version of the MAT test is very user-friendly, you will receive immediate preliminary score upon completion of the test. This version is as accurate and reliable as the traditional paper/pencil version. The time required for this test is 60 minutes.
A $82.00 test registration fee is required to reserve a seat for the exam by cash ,money order payable to TAMUK or online payment.
Information to applicants
- Must present 2 forms of valid ID . One should be a photo ID (i.e. Driver’s License or Texas ID upon admission to the test).
- No Admittance once exam has started.
- No Walk-Ins Allowed
Allow 15 to 20 days to receive your scores. Scores will be sent to the TAMUK Admissions Office.
