Event Scheduling on Campus

Event Scheduling

Reserving event space is a privilege afforded only to those directly affiliated with the university. This includes academic departments, student and support organizations, and individual faculty and staff members. Please do not advertise for your event until it is displayed in JCal with a status of Scheduled. If this is a special event with University-wide appeal, you can send your event details to the Office of Marketing and Communications (marcom@tamuk.edu) and request that they place the event on the Featured Events calendar displayed on the University homepage.  Event scheduling at Texas A&M University-Kingsville should done through JCal, the University's Event Management System.  Depending on the room desired, faculty and staff may schedule rooms directly or enter a request to use the room. Anyone reserving University facilities must adhere to the policies of the University. Building policies are available on the web. Individuals/groups not adhering to building policies can be denied future access to facilities and held financially responsible for damage.

University Rooms - Public

Public University Rooms are designed to serve the entire TAMUK campus community. These rooms are available for direct scheduling by faculty and staff via JCal.

University Rooms - Request

Some University Rooms are maintained by various campus offices and require an approval process for reservations. Requests for use of these rooms can be made via JCal.

Event Planning Rooms (MSUB, etc)

The Memorial Student Union Building offers different rooms for hosting events and meetings. In addition to flexible arrangements and attractive settings, the facility staff can provide a full-range of A/V and multimedia services. Requests to utilize Memorial Student Union meeting rooms are handled by the Event Planning. Rooms are available free of charge to registered student organizations and university departments for non revenue producing events. Individual students, faculty/staff and other non-university groups planning private events can uses the facility for a nominal fee. Requests for use of these rooms can be made via JCal.
