Submitting the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF III)

Texas A&M University-Kingsville is pleased to announce that HEERF III Emergency Grant funding will be available to enrolled students for the Fall 2022 semester.

These grants can be used to help students with any component of their cost of attendance (tuition, food, housing, health care, and childcare) or emergency costs related to the pandemic.

Students enrolled for Fall 2022 can apply for a HEERF III grant starting August 22, 2022.

The Fall 2022 HEERF III Emergency Grant Application Period is August 22, 2022, through September 7, 2022. All enrolled students, including international and DACA students, are encouraged to apply when the application becomes available.

Below are steps on how students can access the grant application starting August 22, 2022:

  1. Visit Texas A&M-Kingsville JNET
  2. Login to your JNET account with your student ID and password
  3. From the JNET Main Menu, select “Paying for College” Tab
  4. In the middle of the Main Menu, select “Blue and Gold Main Menu”
  5. On the Blue and Gold Main Menu page, select “Apply for Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF III)”
  6. On the application page, select the term you are requesting assistance and click submit.
  7. On the next page; select a category you are requesting assistance due to the COVID-19 pandemic, read and select the appropriate boxes and submit.
