Dr. Janelle Ott is the Manager of Music Facilities and Events at Texas A&M Kingsville. Prior to her time in Kingsville, she served as Educational Liaison with the San Angelo Museum of Fine Art Concert Series and has held stage management and scheduling positions with OperaMaya International Music Festival, Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University, and Louisiana State University.
In addition to her duties as Manager of Music Facilities and Events, Janelle cultivates a free-lance career as a professional bassoonist and teacher. In addition to maintaining a private studio, she has served on the faculties of Angelo State University, Odessa College, Abilene Christian University, McMurry University, Hardin-Simmons University, Collin College, and University of Texas at Tyler. She performs regularly with professional orchestras throughout Texas and has been featured as a soloist in Brazil, San Angelo, and Abilene. Janelle holds a Doctorate of Musical Arts from University of North Texas, a Master of Music from Wichita State University, a Performer Diploma from Indiana University, and a Bachelor of Music from Luther College. She is a student of Kathleen Reynolds, William Ludwig, Nicolasa Kuster, Eric Ring, and Jennifer Cavanaugh.
