The Center for Continuing Education offers personal and professional development courses for our students and community that are looking to start a new hobby or rediscover a lost skill. We are excited to offer courses that are taught by our Javelina Faculty & Staff. Please see a list below of courses commonly requested and/or needed in our community.

Session Pricing
  • Cost - $20 per session

Guitar Rentals

When it comes to guitars, we offer flexible rental options to suit your needs:

  • First week: $15
    • Perfect for those planning to buy a guitar within the first week.
    • No need to miss practice time while you search for the right guitar.
  • Full Rental Fee: $50
    • For those who prefer to rent and practice at home for the duration of their sessions.
    • Please note that additional fees may apply for any damage or loss of the rented guitar.

Courses and Flexible Study

At the Center for Continuing Education, our courses are tailored to fit your schedule. Whether you're a busy professional or looking to enhance your skills, our programs offer flexibility:

  • Class Scheduling: Evening classes are available, typically once or twice a week, depending on the program's schedule.
  • Short-Term Focus: Our Personal Enhancement courses are designed for a short-term commitment, spanning 8 weeks. This approach allows participants to learn at their own comfortable pace, accommodating both beginners and those seeking to refine their skills.

Earning the Certificate

Upon successful completion of each course, participants will receive certificates of participation.

Registration Process

We've embraced eco-friendly practices by offering online registration and payment options for your convenience. Registering for a course is a breeze and consists of two simple steps: Registration/Payment 

  • Online Registration: Complete the online registration form, and your browser will automatically redirect you to the medical waiver form.
  • Payment: After submitting both forms, your browser will redirect you to Marketplace for secure payment processing.
