Texas A&M University-Kingsville offers a wide variety of awards to students that demonstrate outstanding academic achievement, leadership and financial need. These funds come from multiple sources and do not have to be re-paid. The first step to be considered for scholarships is to be admitted to Texas A&M University-Kingsville.
Those students who wish to be considered for need-based scholarships need to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA should be received by the Office of Student Financial Aid at Texas A&M University-Kingsville by the priority deadline of March 15. Departmental Scholarship are competitive scholarships awarded by the respective college and/or department. The criteria for these scholarships vary but generally include academic major, academic achievement and financial need. Students who are interested in applying for these scholarships are advised to contact their particular department for more information. Please note special application procedures may apply.
General Scholarships are awarded by the Office of Financial Aid. Many of these scholarships are need-based and students are selected based on information generated from the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). There is not an application process for these scholarships.
