Registration Eligibility

Transfer Thursdays are for undergraduate students who are new to Texas A&M University-Kingsville and who have 12 or more transferrable college credits. Students who are eligible to register for a 2013 Transfer Thursdays session must meet the following criteria:

• Must be officially admitted to the university as a new transfer student for Summer 2013 or Fall 2013
• Must be a new student who has completed 12 or more college credits post high school graduation
• College transcripts are on file with the Office of Admission

Admitted for Summer 2013

Summer Session: May 30

The May 30 Transfer Thursdays session is designated for transfer students who are admitted for Summer 2013. Students admitted for Fall 2013 will not be able to register for this date.

Students who are admitted for the summer and planning to enroll must attend this Transfer Thursdays session in order to register for classes.

Admitted for Fall 2013

Fall Sessions: June 27, July 11, July 25, August 8 and August 22

Students admitted for the fall may register for one of the above Transfer Thursdays sessions.

Transfer Orientation Alternate Option

Transfer students are strongly encouraged to attend a Transfer Thursdays session, but it is not mandatory. Transfer students who are unable to attend a session or would prefer not to may choose to meet individually with their academic advisor instead. Students will not be able to register for classes without first attending Transfer Thursdays or meeting with their academic advisor. Students who choose to meet with their academic advisor are responsible for scheduling an appointment. Advisors are assigned based on the student's major and college.
