The President’s Undergraduate Research Program is a project designed to increase the number of individuals conducting undergraduate research. The program is funded to serve 10 students for the summer and spring 2016 for $2,000.00.

The grant program will provide an opportunity for undergraduate students to engage in high level research with a faculty mentor in preparation for graduate education. Students will have the unique opportunity to interact with TAMUK University President, Dr. Steven H. Tallant, and Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Heidi Anderson, in a pre and post research session. TAMUK is making a profound difference in the educational, cultural and economic development of the communities we serve, and we are excited about the opportunities this program can offer.

The Program’s recruitment period will occur during the spring semester. Deadline for applications is February 29, 2016 and finalists will be contacted for interviews. Applicants must be TAMUK juniors and seniors (graduating the following spring term or later), with a minimum 3.25 GPA.
