Selina Kieschnick starts new year off in new job
Texas A&M University-Kingsville alumna Selina Gonzalez Kieschnick has been named director of alumni affairs for the university. She comes to the university from the King Ranch Saddle Shop where she has been a buyer for the catalog.
“As a legacy alum and Kingsville native, I am dedicated to the growth of the Javelina Alumni Association and our university,” Kieschnick said. “I feel that I can make a strong impact in this position through my ability in building and fostering relationships.
“I have several ideas that focus on the growth and development of our alumni association. Next on my list is to determine the order of priority with the assistance of the alumni board of directors and university leaders,” she said.
“Working in the retail industry, it is key to know your customers and their expectations. The same applies to the growth of the alumni association. We already know our customers, now we just need to meet their expectations,” she added.
Kieschnick earned her master’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in marketing and economics and a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in management from A&M-Kingsville. Kieschnick is a legacy as both of her parents, Juan Jose Gonzalez and Beatrice Canals Gonzalez, have bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the university.
