A&M-Kingsville's Center for Continuing Education to offer business, organization training series

The Center for Continuing Education at Texas A&M University-Kingsville will host a three-part Business and Organization Training Series beginning Friday, Nov. 2. The topic for the first workshop will be Proactive and Situational Leadership.
The second workshop, Strategic Planning for Business Growth, will be held Friday, Dec. 14, and the third, Achieving your Goals through Customer Relations, will be held Friday, Jan. 11. All three workshops are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the second floor of the Javelina Dining Hall.
The workshops will include case studies from actual business and organizational situations, role playing and other hands-on exercises to evaluate individual skills, a continental breakfast and lunch, certificate of completion and for an extra $25, continuing education units.
The cost is $225 per person for all three workshops. Those who do not wish to attend all workshops will pay $75 per workshop. A discount is available for employers who wish to send five or more employees. Seating is limited to 25 participants.
The series will be taught by Esther Hollingshead, M.S., M.B.A. She is one of the core specialists/presenters from the Center for Continuing Education. She has taught undergraduate, graduate and post graduate courses in psychology, human resources, personnel selection, personal development, learning strategies and organizational development at Universidad Anahuac, a private international university in Mexico.
She also taught human development courses, seminars and conferences at various private and public, national and international universities, organizations and private companies.
Hollingshead is the author of Human Relations, a textbook used in schools and academic institutions for the state of Veracruz, Mexico. In 1980, she became the founder and chief executive officer of the Institute of Professional Research and Studies, a consulting company for private and public businesses focusing on aspects and concerns related to human resources.
