Performance Management

Staff performance evaluations will be completed in Workday. Managers will receive notices in their Workday inbox when an evaluation is due. All activities will be completed in their inbox. The process will be completely paperless and submission will be electronic and secure.

  • Managers will be given the option to add additional Managers (who can only make additional comments) and Reviewers (who can add ratings and comments). These are optional and the task can be skipped by the Manager from their inbox. In order to skip this step, please click on the gear icon on the top right hand corner and select skip this task.
  • Employees will also be able to complete a self-evaluation as part of the new process.
  • The goals section of the evalaution are the goals that were in place from the previous year. New goals will be created as a separate process in Workday after the evaluation is complete.
  • The responsibilities section of the evaluation is where you list the major duties of the position, so the employee can be evaluated on those duties.
  • If you receive an evaluation notice for an employee who has already received a 6 month evaluation in this past year, you should not complete a new evaluation. Please contact Kimberly McRae in Human Resources, if this happens.
  • If you receive an evaluation notice for an employee who does not report to you, please contact your departmental HR Contact to move this worker to the correct Manager and reassign the task from your inbox to the correct Manager.
  • Once the submit button on an evaluation has been selected no further corrections can be made.
