Business speaker to discuss websites that work

The College of Business Administration at Texas A&M University-Kingsville will host the second in a series of business seminars this fall from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27. Gracie Garcia Martin will present How to Create a Small Business Website that Works in room 218 of the Business Administration Building.

She is the CEO and sole owner of Ensemble Group based in Corpus Christi. Ensemble Group provides contract-based consulting and development software, web applications and website development to local businesses, government agencies, non-profits and educational organizations throughout the Coastal Bend and the United States.

Martin is an alumna of Texas A&I University who graduated with a bachelor’s of business administration degree in electronic data processing in 1985. She began her career at Mobil Oil Corporation in Dallas where she held various positions ranging from programmer analyst to project technical lead.

She came home to Corpus Christi and worked supporting the billing systems at Central Power and Light Co. Martin also worked for contracting firms who provided services to local refineries and eventually started her own business. She has over 20 years of experience in the computer technology field.
