Are your children looking for something to do this summer -- something that will challenge and teach them, with a little fun on the side?

The Center for Continuing Education at Texas A&M University-Kingsville will offer their Fourth Annual College for Kids during the month of July, for students age eight through 15.

College for Kids is a three-week summer program that begins Monday, July 7, and continues through Thursday, July 24. Children attending the program spend time in a college setting that provides a unique learning environment outside the traditional classroom. They get to choose either academic or elective courses ranging from writing improvement to theatre.

The courses are focused to provide improvement in core class academics and utilize curiosity and imagination with social and personal enhancement courses.

Registration is currently open and will remain open until Friday, June 20. All classes are held Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Students may choose full- or half-day options. Tuition for College for Kids is $355 for the full-time three week option and $185 for part-time for three weeks.

Courses are even named like college classes, with the following key: 101 Classes are academic classes for children eight to 11 years old, and 201 Classes are academic for 12- to 15-years old. On the elective side, 400 Classes are for all levels, 401 Classes are for eight- to 11-years old and 402 Classes are for children from 12 to 15.
