College of Business Administration to host Fourth Annual Community Breakfast

The Texas A&M University-Kingsville College of Business Administration will host their Fourth Annual Community Breakfast at 7 a.m. Thursday, April 17, in the ballrooms of the Memorial Student Union Building. The event is co-hosted by the Kleberg County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the Kingsville Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by IBC Bank.

This event is geared toward providing an additional dimension to fiscal awareness and responsibility to students, and residents of Kingsville and the surrounding communities. Tickets are $10 per person or $80 for a table of eight.

This year’s speaker is Victor F. Ornelas, executive coach and founder of Ornelas and Associates Inc. He will talk about what energy is and how it affect us; the seven levels of energy and the advantages and disadvantages of each level; the four internal energy blocks and how we can overcome them; and how we can shift our energy to attract the success, happiness and fulfillment we want professionally and personally.

About Victor F. Ornelas

After a successful career in marketing and advertising, Ornelas began his executive and business coaching practice in 2009. He coaches and guides entrepreneurs and corporate executives in growing their businesses and becoming inspiring leaders. He is recognized as one of the pioneers in Latino marketing in the United States.

In 1988, he founded Ornelas & Associates, one of the largest Latino-owned marketing communications agencies in the country. The firm’s clients include Fortune 100 brands like Anheuser-Busch, Blockbuster, Verizon, Nissan, Mobil and Pepsi-Cola. They were the first recipient of the American Association of Advertising Agencies’ O’Toole Award for Multicultural Advertising and have won numerous industry awards for their work.

Prior to founding Ornelas and Associates, Ornelas was national manager of consumer promotions for the Seven-Up Company and director of Hispanic marketing for Anheuser-Busch Inc. Ornelas began his corporate career at Levi Strauss & Co. where he was Director of Domestic Community Affairs and managed the domestic charitable contributions program for the Levi Strauss Foundation.

Ornelas was named Entrepreneur of the Year by Hispanic Business and was the recipient of Hispanic magazine’s prestigious Adelante Award for his entrepreneurial achievements. He serves on the Board of Directors of the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas and the YMCA of North Texas. He is a member of the Board of Regents of the University of the Pacific and was the secretary-treasurer and member of the Board of Directors of the American Association of Advertising Agencies.

He is a graduate of University of the Pacific and is a certified professional coach, certified master practitioner in Energy Leadership, a certified personal trainer and golf instructor and a motivational speaker.
