About Us

Our Goals

The goals of CREST-RESSACA include:

  • To serve as a center of excellence for environmental research in South Texas and the border region.

  • To provide increased access to M.S. and Ph.D. programs in environmental engineering to US citizens and permanent residents, and increase diversity in the national engineering workforce.

  • To facilitate capacity-building and infrastructure development for graduate engineering and science programs in South Texas.

  • To transfer research to the decision makers and stakeholders who influence the economic, social, and physical infrastructure along the border region
