Graduate Degree in Civil Engineering

The educational objectives of the graduate program are:

To provide master level graduates with the necessary engineering skills to engage in lifelong careers as practicing professional civil engineers who are ethical and socially responsible
To develop master level engineering graduates with a broad understanding of the problem-solving, design, and research skills necessary to operate in the interdisciplinary arena of civil engineering.
To provide master level candidates with sufficient depth in at least one of four areas in civil engineering (geotechnical, structural, transportation, or water resources) to be able to design increasingly complex systems in that area
