General Information – July 6th – 23rd, 2015

The Center for Continuing Education at Texas A&M University-Kingsville is proud to announce College for Kids in the month of July! Children from ages 7 – 15 yrs old can attend this 3-week program while spending time in a unique learning atmosphere outside of the traditional classroom. The child gets to experience the college environment by building their schedules with the courses they would want to participate in. This allows them to spend time gaining exposure to the college lifestyle and making positive memories that will encourage the pursuit of their collegiate dreams.


Any participant between the ages of 7 – 15 yrs old, are eligible to participate in the 3-week summer program.

Class Schedules

Classes meet Monday-Thursday, 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

The participant’s select the courses that they want to attend during their time in the program. Courses are limited to a first (1st) come, first (1st) serve basis and will close once the maximum attendance of 15 participants has been met.

Cost & Registration Dates

Full-Time 3 Weeks:  $395.00

Full-Time 3 Weeks Sibling Discount: $295.00

Part-Time 3 Weeks: $220.00

Full-Time 2 Weeks: $265.00

Part-Time 2 Weeks: $185.00

Weekly Full-Time:   $195.00

Weekly Part-Time:  $145.00

Registration open until maximum capacity is reached. Schedules can not be guranteed due to the first come, first serve basis.

Lunch will not be provided however it is encouraged that participants bring their own cold meals or money to purchase meals through on-campus dinning.


Basic supplies such as notebooks, pens, pencils, and paper will be required to be purchased by the participant for the program. Any additional items needed for specific courses, a supply list will be provided to the parents during the program orientation.

Direct supervision of participants will take place throughout the entire time during their attendance of the program. Parents/Guardians will take responsibility for seeing that their child complies with appropriate behavior guidelines as set for the program. Inappropriate behavior or discipline problems will result in dismissal from the program and refund will not be given. Parents/Guardians will also be financially responsible for any loss to Texas A&M University-Kingsville’s physical facilities or equipment that is the direct result of their child's inappropriate behavior.

Personal Belongings

Texas A&M University-Kingsville is not responsible for any loss, stolen or damaged personal belongings of participants while attending the College for Kids program. It is recommended that participants do not bring any electronic devises or other personal belongings during their time on-campus.


Parents/Guardians are expected to provide daily transportation for students to their classes. Students should arrive no earlier than 30 minutes before the program begins and be picked up no later than 30 minutes after the program ends.


Parents/Guardians and students should be aware that they are responsible for their own private health and accident insurance.


Photographs of your child may be taken during program participation and may be used in future publications.
