The purpose of this organization is to promote and improve the quality, the procedure and the philosophy of the bilingual-bicultural education in Texas schools through the interchange of diverse ideas.

T.A.S.B.E. recognizes that an educator and future educator need to possess the recognition of the quality within the personality of a person, character responsibility and leadership, which are the essential elements of a good educator.

Title VII mandates that institutions of higher education assist in preparing teachers to understand and build upon the education strengths and needs of language-minority and culturally diverse student enrollments.

Bilingual Education programs prepare our nation’s children to learn English and meet high academic standards including proficiency in more than one language.

Teachers will use a child or youth’s native language and culture in the classroom instruction to promote: Self-esteem, Academic achievement, English & Home Language to promote competiveness in the global economy.
