Museum Internships

Upper division University students (juniors or seniors) can enroll in a Museum Internship and earn 3 credit hours. Student Internship Applications are available through Career Services. Under an an advising faculty member, student interns work 120 hours per semester with Conner Museum staff learning about public history, preservation, research and other skills while working in a professional environment. Interns submit a project paper to their professor at the end of the internship with a topic agreed upon between the professor and the Museum Supervisor. This paper typically consists of an exhibit narrative or other researched component of a prospective permanent exhibit. For more information, contact the Museum Director at 361-593-2849.
