JavALAB ALEKS Algebra Competition

The Department of Mathematics sponsored its first JavALab Algebra Competition open to all students enrolled in MATH 1314 in the spring of 2014.  The competition consisted of a college algebra comprehensive assessment in the ALEKS program.  First, second and third place winners were determined by the top highest three scores and received cash prizes of $250, $150, and $100 respectively.  All students could benefit in participating, as the earned score on the assessment replaced the final grade in the course, if it was higher than the final average.

We congratulate our competition winners!
