Undergraduate Work: B.S. in Chemistry, University of Florida.
Doctoral Work: Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry, University Florida.
Past Research: Chemical effects of high energy radiation including gamma radiation and plasma discharge. High energy chemical kinetics-esp. reactions of gaseous ions and molecules using specially modified mass spectrometers.
Best Advice Ever Received: "Make your career something that you really enjoy doing."
Hobbies: Building things-expecially electronics, computer circuits, models. Outdoors: exploring, mountain biking, photography.
What Influenced you to study Chemistry: I was not supposed to touch my brother's huge chemistry set. I was most especially not supposed to sneak it up into the attic room and play with the little alcohol burner.
