Dr. Brandon O’Donohue is a Rio Grande Valley native from Harlingen, TX. and is the newly appointed Adjunct Professor of Trumpet at Texas A&M University – Kingsville. Dr. O’Donohue has performed across the country and overseas as a soloist, orchestral musician, and lead trumpet player.

As a performer, Dr. O’Donohue has collaborated with great artists such as Leona Lewis, Rod Stewart, Rashawn Ross, Danny Falcone, Joseph Allesi, Christian Lindberg, and Boston Brass.  He has performed with ensembles such as the Las Vegas Philharmonic (NV), Las Vegas Sinfonietta (NV), Jazz Vegas Orchestra (NV), Victoria Symphony (TX), and the Aurora Arts Theatre (TX) to name a few. He has also performed at state, national, and international conferences/competitions, including advancing through multiple rounds at the National Trumpet Competition in the both the small ensemble division and graduate solo division on multiple occasions.

As an educator, Dr. O’Donohue has students ranging from beginner to undergraduate levels and has been on staff with multiple high school marching band programs in Nevada and Texas. He has also performed at taught with Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps and Compass Drum and Bugle Corps. He has also provided clinics and private lessons in both states. 

Dr. O’Donohue holds a Doctor of Musical Arts from University of Nevada, Las Vegas, a Master of Music from Texas A&M University – Kingsville, and a Bachelor of Music from Texas A&M University – Kingsville. He is a student of Dr. Barbara Hull, Dr. Kyle Millsap, and Peter Margulies.
