Originally from San Antonio, TX, Dr. Chumbley received his bachelors in agricultural education from Texas A&M University. After graduation he served as an agriculture science teacher and high school administrator in San Antonio ISD and Bandera ISD. He received his Master’s in Educational Administration from Texas A&M University-Kingsville before pursuing a doctorate in Agriculture Education & Leadership from Texas Tech University.
Dr. Chumbley is active in coordinating statewide service learning events, including judging stock shows and leading advanced manufacturing-based career development events. He also leads teacher professional development in agricultural mechanics across the country. Dr. Chumbley comes from a family of teachers, following his father’s footsteps as a former high school AGSC teacher. His wife Sarah is an elementary school counselor and they are blessed with two children, Nolan and Audrey.
