Originally from San Antonio, TX, Dr. Chumbley received his bachelors in agricultural education from Texas A&M University. After graduation he served as an agriculture science teacher and high school administrator in San Antonio ISD and Bandera ISD. He received his Masters in Educational Administration from Texas A&M University-Kingsville before pursuing a Ph. D in Agriculture Education and Leadership from Texas Tech University.
From 2011-2015 Dr. Chumbley worked as an assistant professor of Agriculture Education at Eastern New Mexico University and was Director of a statewide Agriculture Dual Enrollment program serving over 1,400 students. His wife Sarah is an 8th grade science teacher in Bishop ISD and they are blessed with their son Nolan.
