TSCPA recognizes CBA lecturer and alumnus

Adria Vasquez and J.D. Henshall are honored

The Texas Society of Public Accountants is celebrating Business & Industry Month and 100 years of Texas accountancy by shining a spotlight on the careers of outstanding accountants. We are pleased to announce that two of our own were included in this list.

Adria Vasquez, CPA, who has been a lecturer in our college since 2009, is a recipient of this honor. In addition to being a full-time lecturer in our college, Vasquez is the coordinator of the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program (VITA), where students prepare tax returns for low-income taxpayers. She is a partner in Palacios & Palacios, PC with her Dad, also a CPA. Adria has been recognized for her excellence by students and is the recipient of numerous awards. We are very proud to have her as a member of the CBA team!

We are equally proud of alumnus J.D. Henshall, CPA, CGMA, who also received this honor. Henshall holds the position of Assistant Controller & Project Manager at The First National Bank of Beeville, an FDIC insured community bank. He has been working steadily in the business industry for five years since graduating from Texas A&M-Kingsville in 2011.
