Travis Braidwood was born in Virginia, but moved around for much of his life, which is not uncommon with two parents in the Navy. Ultimately, his family settled in Florida where he went on to attend the University of West Florida (UWF). At UWF he received B.A.’s in political science and international studies. After a year of graduate work at UWF he transferred into Florida State University’s Ph.D. program, earning his M.S. in 2009, and his Ph.D. in 2013.
Travis Braidwood’s research focuses on the fields of American politics and public policy, with particular interest in Congress, voter behavior, political psychology, experiments, public opinion, quantitative methods, and elections. Travis’ teaching interests include American politics, public policy, and constitutional law, judicial process, research methods, and public opinion.
