Readmission Request - Process
- Undergraduate students, placed on enforced withdrawal, may request that the required absence period be shortened or waived so they may return to the university sooner.
- If you believe you are ready to come back, before the required time away is completed, you may submit a Readmission Request for review.
- To complete your request, before the first day of classes each semester, select the button below: Readmission Request Form
- As part of the application, students submit a personal statement that explains:
- The challenges or circumstances that affected academic success (academic, personal, or both)
- The steps already taken to improve academic performance
- A clear plan for how your GPA will continue to improve moving forward
- Readmission Requests are reviewed by the Javelina Reset team the rubric below: Readmission Request Rubric
- Based on this review, a request is either:
- Approved if it has a score of 60 or more points
- Routed for additional consideration, to Department Chair and Dean, if the score is 59 points or below
- The Associate Vice President for Academic Success has the final consideration on all readmission requests.
- Students approved for readmission after enforced withdrawal are required to participate in the Javelina Reset Program, which provides structured support to help students stay on track and succeed.
- Students who register for classes but are on enforced withdrawal without approved readmission will be removed from their courses before the first day of class.
- A Readmission Request must be submitted each semester until the student reaches a 2.0 institutional GPA and returns to good academic standing.
