Message from the Interim Associate Vice President for Student Success

Welcome to the Center for Student Success! We offer a variety of services and programs aimed at helping students throughout their college careers. First-year students are integrated into the Javelina community in their University Success course, where they meet students in like majors and are paired with a peer mentor and Student Success faculty member, all while learning skills essential for their success. First-generation college students are invited to events aimed at helping them learn the ins and outs of college life. And all students can benefit from the services offered by the tutors at the Pathways Academic Assistance Center and the University Writing Center, as well as by the mentors at the Center for Student Success Office. Our team of professional academic advisors make sure that students are on track for their ultimate goal: graduation. And our Social Work interns help put students in touch with community resources when events in their personal lives threaten their academic progress. In short, if you need help, come find us on the second floor of Jernigan Library. We are here for you! More Info Dr. Maria Velez-Hernandez
