FOSTERING TOWARDS SUCCESS

Texas A&M University-Kingsville has created an organization for former foster students on campus. Our mission is to create a campus-wide network of support to assist foster care alumni in achieving educational success by focusing on the academic, financial, career and social well-being of each student, enabling them to arrive and thrive on campus. 

 FOSTERING TOWARDS SUCCESS ADVOCATES

Trained staff help students navigate the complexities of college life, answer questions, and provide support.

JAVELINA MENTORING

New students are matched with a student mentor on campus who can help adjust, get involved, achieve higher GPAs and stay in school.

FOSTERING TOWARDS SUCCESS ORGANIZATION

Ease your transition to college life with welcome socials, volunteer opportunities, study groups, and more.

FOSTERING STUDENT SUCCESS CONFERENCE

Learn about support and resources available for a seamless transition from high school to college.

CONNECTION TO COMMUNITY/ ON-CAMPUS RESOURCES

Access a wide range of on-campus and community resources through our trained staff.

SUPERVISED INDEPENDENT LIVING PROGRAM (SIL) 

Extended foster care placement where young adults can live on their own, while still getting casework and support services to help them become independent and self-sufficient.
