Veronica De Leon

Accommodations Specialist, Office of Student Accessibility

Greetings! My name is Veronica De Leon, and I serve as an Accommodations Specialist at Texas A&M University-Kingsville. In my role, I am dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of students with disabilities by ensuring access to education and campus life.

I hold a Master of Science in Sociology, a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, and a Bachelor of Science in Criminology from Texas A&M University-Kingsville. As a proud Javelina, I am committed to helping all students achieve their personal and academic goals.

Currently, I am pursuing an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership, focusing my dissertation research on first-generation transfer students. This area of study is important to me, as it aligns with my passion for advancing opportunities and support for students from diverse backgrounds.

During my free time, I enjoy spending time with family, especially exploring places with my daughter. Experiencing local spots and communities helps me appreciate the diverse resources and support systems that can boost student success, especially for first-generation transfer students navigating new academic landscapes. These moments bring joy and balance to my life, fueling my dedication at both work and home.
