At TAMUK Rec Sports, fitness is personal, goal-driven, and accessible. Whether you’re starting fresh, breaking through a plateau, or bringing wellness to your group, our programs meet you where you are—and take you further.


Personal Training

Work one-on-one with a certified personal trainer. From first-timers to seasoned athletes, our coaching is tailored to deliver results.

Group Exercise Classes

Join in on high-energy, motivating group fitness classes led by our certified instructors. From strength training to yoga, there’s something for every fitness level.

Class Schedule

  • Noon Burn — HIIT cardio + strength fusion | Mon–Wed–Fri 12:00–12:30 PM
  • Yogilates — Yoga + Pilates blend | Tue & Thu 3:00–3:30 PM

These classes are offered with support by the Community Exercise Outreach through the Methodist Healthcare Ministries 2025 Community Investment Grant.


Fitness Outreach: Rent a Fitness Instructor

Bring Rec Sports to your department, organization, or event. Our certified instructors can design and lead custom fitness sessions—strength, cardio circuits, yoga, mobility, and more.

Fitness Challenges

Start your mornings strong with the Rise & Grind Fitness Challenge! Check in at the Student Recreation Center between 6:00 AM and 8:00 AM and commit to your goals before the day begins.
