The mission of the Frank H. Dotterweich College of Engineering at Texas A&M University-Kingsville is simple and so very important.  We turn hardworking, dedicated students from all over South Texas and beyond – and from all backgrounds – into the world’s best engineers.   Whether they graduated from the Texas College of Arts and Industries, Texas A&I University, or Texas A&M University-Kingsville, Javelina Engineers are known the world over for their ability to get the job done when others can’t.  Our students carry on this rich tradition with pride and enthusiasm - it is a proud legacy worth preserving and strengthening.

One of the best ways you can help to sustain and build this legacy is through a contribution to the Javelina Engineering Annual Fund.  Gifts to the Annual Fund help support programs such as these:

  • Javelina Innovation Lab:  The lab, or JIL, is housed in downtown Kingsville and provides “work-ships” to students tackling problems brought to them by industry, governmental agencies, and other non-profit organizations – and to work on promising ideas of their own.
  • Student Organization Travel Matching Grants Program:  One of the highlights of the year for many of our student organizations is to travel to a regional or national conference to compete in design competitions, network with working professionals, and learn more about their chosen profession.  This program matches funds raised by the student organizations.
  • College of Engineering FTIC (First Time in College) Scholarships:  These scholarships greatly help the College to attract bright high school students to our engineering programs.
  • College of Engineering K-12 Outreach Program:  The College is dedicated to opening the world of engineering to students in elementary, middle, and high schools throughout South Texas.  We do this through summer camps, tutoring, project mentoring, traveling demonstrations, and events on campus.

Your support creates life-changing opportunities for the next generation of Javelina Engineers.

Thank you, again, for your support.
