Documentation Needed to Apply to the Honors College:

  1. Basic person/contact information
  2. How did you hear about the Honors College?*
  3. Why are you interesting in joining?*
  4. Essay based on the prompt listed on the application*
  5. Up-to-date resume including any awards, honors, clubs, and leadership positions held
  6. Two letters of recommendation are required
    1. If you have them already, please call us to get submission information
    2. If not, list your recommenders’ name and email address on the application form and we will contact them to get the letters
  7. Transcripts required
    1. Incoming Freshmen: One unofficial high school transcript, plus if you have taken dual enrollment courses, we also need all the university/college transcripts (unofficial) for these courses
    2. Transfer or Current TAMUK Students: All previous college transcripts (unofficial)

*We highly recommend you draft your answer in Word first.  Proofread. Make sure your name and K00# are listed at the top.
