Join the Honors College
Documentation Needed to Apply to the Honors College:
- Basic person/contact information
- How did you hear about the Honors College?*
- Why are you interesting in joining?*
- Essay based on the prompt listed on the application*
- Up-to-date resume including any awards, honors, clubs, and leadership positions held
- Two letters of recommendation are required
- If you have them already, please call us to get submission information
- If not, list your recommenders’ name and email address on the application form and we will contact them to get the letters
- Transcripts required
- Incoming Freshmen: One unofficial high school transcript, plus if you have taken dual enrollment courses, we also need all the university/college transcripts (unofficial) for these courses
- Transfer or Current TAMUK Students: All previous college transcripts (unofficial)
*We highly recommend you draft your answer in Word first. Proofread. Make sure your name and K00# are listed at the top.
