Transcripts

An official transcript is a comprehensive record of an individual's academic record at TAMUK, including coursework, credit earned by exam, and degrees awarded. Since transcripts contain confidential information, in compliance with federal privacy laws, a student's signature is required to release transcripts.

How to order Official Transcripts

Please note that this option delivers your official transcript electronically through email only.

For E-Transcripts we use the National Student Clearinghouse a secure and widely used third-party service, to process and send E-Transcripts to colleges, universities, employers, and other recipients throughout the United States.

If you earned more than one degree level at TAMUK (e.g., undergraduate and graduate), all official transcripts associated with your academic record will be included.

  • Cost: $3.90 per request
  • Processing Time: Approximately 30 minutes
  • Access Period: 30 days

Additional Processing Time
Please allow 3–5 business days (excluding university holidays) if your request requires attachments, or if additional student records must be located and reviewed.

Important: Students who attended TAMUK before 1994 are not eligible for E-Transcript delivery. If you attended prior to 1994, please select the Mail or Pick Up option instead.

If choosing the mail option, you will need to submit a Transcript Request and select "Mail" as the delivery option.

Transcripts are sent regular standard mail via the U.S. Postal Service. Time of delivery will be based on their service.

  • Cost: Free
  • Processing Time: 3-5 Business Days (excluding university holidays and USPS mail delivery time)

If choosing the pick-up option, you will need to submit a Transcript Request and select "Pick Up" as the delivery option.

Transcripts will be available for pick up at the Office of the Registrar in the South Modular Building (near Health & Wellness and College of Business).

  • Cost: Free
  • Processing Time: 3-5 Business Days (excluding university holidays and USPS mail delivery time)

The person who you indicated as your pick-up person will be required to present a valid photo ID (student ID, driver's license, etc.) in order to pick up the official transcript.

You may authorize a third party to order or pick up your official transcript. The authorized person must provide:

1. A letter addressed to Texas A&M University-Kingsville that includes:
the date of the request, your full name, your student identification number, your signature, your dates of attendance, the full name of the person authorized to complete the transaction, the number of transcripts requested, and instructions on what to do with the transcript(s) once the order is processed

2. A photo ID that identifies the third party as the person named in the letter of authorization
Letters of authorization may be brought to the office by the authorized or email as a PDF attachment to registrar@tamuk.edu

Students with Business Office Holds

Current and former students with an active Business Office hold(s) may still submit an E-Transcript request through the National Student Clearinghouse but a different process must be followed.

You will need to submit a Transcript Request and select "E-Transcript (Financial hold lift needed for NSC E-Transcript Request)" as the delivery option.

Once your request is submitted, the Office of the Registrar will route it to Student Business Services (SBS) for review. SBS will determine whether your Business Office hold can be temporarily lifted to allow you to submit an E-Transcript request.

If approved, a representative from Student Business Services will contact you and let you know:

  • Whether the hold has been temporarily lifted.
  • How long you have to submit your E-Transcript request before the hold is placed back on your account.

Important: Approval is not guaranteed and is determined solely by Student Business Services.

Please note: This process must be completed each time you need an official transcript until the Business Office hold has been fully resolved and removed from your account.
