Transcripts

What is a Transcript?

A transcript is a comprehensive record of an individual's academic progress, including transferred courses, credit earned by exam, and degrees awarded. It contains confidential information. In compliance with federal privacy laws, a student's signature is required to release transcripts.

Note: If you attended before 1994, eTranscripts would not be an option. Please choose "Mail" or "Pick Up" when submitting an official transcript request.

How to order an Official Transcript

Please note: This option will send out a PDF transcript through email only.

For eTranscripts, we use a third-party vendor. It is a safe, widely used program that processes and sends eTranscripts electronically to universities across the U.S. You can request a transcript any time of the day, as well as attach a document during the ordering process, to send with your transcript. Each transcript order will cost $3.90 and will grant 30 days of access. Below is a user guide to assist with any questions through the eTranscript ordering process.

Note: If you pursued more than one degree level at TAMUK, this option will send official transcripts for each level.

  • E-Transcript Link
  • Cost: $3.90 ($2.90 processing fee + $1.00 electronic)
  • Processing Time: approximately 30 minutes
  • For attachments and student records not found, allow 1-2 business days (excluding university holidays)

Please note: The US Postal service is experiencing an unprecedented volume increase and limited employee availability due to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.

If choosing the mail option, click the Microsoft Form link or Blue & Gold link below. This option is free, but can take up to 3 business days to process.

Official paper transcripts are sent regular standard mail via the U.S. Postal Service. Time of delivery will be based on their service.

Note: Please make sure the address is correct. If you input the wrong address, this will delay how fast your transcript arrives to the person you issued to. Verify your apartment number and zip code.

If choosing pick up option, click the Microsoft Form link or Blue & Gold Link. Transcripts will be available for pick up at the Javelina Enrollment Services Center's front desk located in the Memorial Student Union Building Room 132.

You, or someone you have authorized, will be required to present a valid photo ID (student ID, driver's license, etc.) in order to pick up the official transcript.

You may authorize a third party to order or pick up your official transcript. The authorized person must provide:

1. A letter addressed to Texas A&M University-Kingsville that includes:
the date of the request, your full name, your student identification number, your signature, your dates of attendance, the full name of the person authorized to complete the transaction, the number of transcripts requested, and instructions on what to do with the transcript(s) once the order is processed

2. A photo ID that identifies the third party as the person named in the letter of authorization
Letters of authorization may be brought to the office by the authorized party faxed in advance to 361-593-2195, or email as a PDF attachment to registrar@tamuk.edu
