Hardware Purchase Procedures
To ensure that all hardware purchases meet the university's standards, purchasers must obtain a quote from an ITS-approved vendor. For all standard hardware purchases, ITS highly recommends going through Summus.
Below are the steps to obtain a quote and proceed with your purchase:

Select a Device:
- Choose a device from the list of ITS-approved standards, (shown below).
- If you need a device that is not on the list, please complete the Non-standard Hardware Exception Request form. Our ITS team will review your request and notify you of the decision.
- If you need assistance in selecting the best product for your needs, kindly submit an IT ticket request for a consultation. A member of the ITS team will reach out to provide personalized assistance.

Request a Quote:
- Please email Donnail Elliot with Summus at Donnail.Elliott@summusindustries.com to request a quote.
- Be sure to include the device make and model, along with the quantity needed.
- Example: “I am requesting a quote for (5) Dell Latitude 5550 laptops and (5) Dell 34" Curved USB-C Hub monitors.”

Proceed with the Purchase:
- Once you receive the quote, you can move forward with the purchase.
- Please allow 1-2 business days for Summus to process your quote request.
