Welcome to the Adult & Higher Education Program!

Earn your Master's of Education in Adult and Higher Education (M.Ed.ADHE) in our 100% online program.

Develop your professional leadership roles and advance your career goals as you apply knowledge and skills. 

This fully online program is designed to prepare new, emerging, and current professionals to become effective educators meeting the needs of college, university, and adult learners.  Complete your Masters in a little as 1 and a half years in our 36 hour credit program. This graduate program will prepare you with strategies and methods to apply research-based effective practices to engage and lead in your field.

All Online

You will earn a Masters of Education in Adult and Higher Education in a fully online learning environment.

The TAMUK ADHE M.Ed. is a 36-credit hour, completely online program, promotes the professional development of students with a focus on adult, higher education, and life long learning.

Classes are taught through asynchronous instruction. Classes do not meet live and are deadline driven. There is no in-person or residency requirement for the program. This program is designed with the working student in mind regardless of your geographic location.  We accept applications for fall, spring or summer start; whichever fits best for you. 

 

Meeting Your Needs

You will have support from your program advisor to tailor your electives in the program to fit your professional interests, needs, and goals.

Faculty instruct, support, and mentor you in your classes to widen and further develop your knowledge and skills in the field.

 

Students may be admitted to the program from a variety of academic backgrounds. Students who enroll in the graduate program in Adult & Higher Education must meet the general graduate admission requirements for TAMUK. We accept applications for fall, spring and summer. 

Cost of Attendance

You can visit the Business Office website for information on the cost of attendance.

Admission to the University

You must submit an application to the University through ApplyTexas.

All prospective students should access the Graduate Admissions page on the TAMUK website for the processes and procedures related to admissions.

 

Program Admission Requirements

To be accepted into the program, students must have:

    • A Bachelors Degree
    • Transcripts submitted to Graduate Studies

Questions Regarding Admission Status

Once you submit your application, you may check the status of your application by logging into your Blue & Gold Connection using your applicant ID and your password, which is your birth date. You will use your birth date using six digits with no dashes (mmddyy). For example, if your birth date is December 15, 2001, you will use 121501.

The Online Adult Education Masters Degree Program has two components:

  1. Courses (Core and Electives)
  2. Comprehensive Examinations

Our Masters of Education in Adult and Higher Education is a fully online graduate degree which prepares you to work with adult learners and learners in institutions of higher education.

Courses further your knowledge and skills in working with adult learners in a variety of environments including professional development and workplace learning, community education organizations, human performance and human resources. Content learned in this program will prepare you for a career as a higher education professional in a community college, college, or university.

The Texas A&M University – Kingsville Adult & Higher Education program is designed for those who intend to or further develop knowledge and skills to instruct, mentor, consult, and or administer education programs. This graduate degree will prepare you to teach in a variety of organizations including corporate settings, community-based organizations, educational institutions, and non-profit systems.
