Dr. Michael E. Tewes


Regents Professor, Frank Daniel Yturria Endowed Chair for Wild Cat Studies, Research Scientist, Conservation Biology and Feline Ecology

Michael E. Tewes received his Ph.D. from the University of Idaho. Mike Tewes began working at Texas A&M University-Kingsville as a Research Associate in 1981, and and joined the faculty in 1986.  He currently holds the rank of Regents Professor and Research Scientist in the Department of Animal, Rangeland, and Wildlife Sciences and Caesar Kleberg Wildlife Research Institute, respectively. Mike teaches Conservation Biology and conducts research in Feline Ecology.
