Job Description/Duties

  • Support all students in making a successful and enjoyable transition to the TAMUK campus by creating educational and supportive relationships designed to direct students to be successful in and out of the classroom
  • Share success skills and habits, while promoting positive decision-making
  • Guide students to resources and opportunities on campus
  • Increase students’ connection with the university


  • Satisfactory Student Status
  • Be currently enrolled at TAMUK and in good standing at the time of application and throughout employment.
  • Have successfully completed 30 cumulative undergraduate hours.

 Academic Performance

  • A preferred minimum institution GPA of 3.0
  • Participation in at least 1 student organization
  • Have a (2) faculty, staff, previous employer, or student organization advisor submit a letter of recommendation at or complete our reference form at

 Exhibit the following imperative skills:

Other requirements:

  • Maintain daily appointments, logs and record keeping
  • A positive attitude & willingness to learn and professionally develop.
  • Attend meetings, trainings and other professional development activities (usually on Saturday and Sunday)
