Minor in Construction Management
The Minor in Construction Management is open to all TAMUK students but was designed to enhance the skills of undergraduate students in architectural engineering, civil engineering, and industrial management and applied engineering technology. Up-to-date requirements can be found in the undergraduate catalog minor in construction management.
The minor requires at total of 18 credit hours, at least 6 of which must be beyond the B.S. degree requirements.
Complete the following courses with a "C" or higher:
- AEEN 4326 (Construction Engineering) or CEEN 4326 (Construction Engineering) or ITEN 4353 (Construction Management)
- AEEN 4340 (Engineering Project Estimation, Planning, and Control) or CEEN 4340 (Engineering Project Estimation, Planning, and Control) or ITEN 3323 (Cost Estimating)
Complete 12 additional credit hours from the following options with a "C" or higher:
- AEEN 1310 (Computer Graphics)
- AEEN 2325 (Architectural Development Intro)
- AEEN 3310 (Building Information Modeling)
- AEEN 3325 (Design Codes and Ordinances)
- AEEN 3350 (Facility Management)
- CEEN 2212/2113 (Surveying and Surveying Lab)
- CEEN 3344/3145 (Construction Materials and Construction Materials Lab)
- CEEN 3317 (Engineering Economics)
- ITEN 1311 (Technical CAD)
- ITEN 2330 (OSHA for General Industry)
- ITEN 3321 (Architectural CAD)
- ITEN 3331 (Construction Technology)
- ITEN 3345 (Advanced Graphics and Modeling)
- MGMT 3322 (Principles of Management)
