Research Interests

• Rock mechanics: micromechanics of rock failure mechanism, laboratory measurement of mechanical properties of rock, in-situ stress measurement, and underground space construction
• Stabilization of swelling soils
• Hydraulic fracturing mapping techniques using surface/subsurface tiltmeters
• Solid production: multi-scale modeling of solid production in petroleum reservoirs and its control measures
