Young Engineers of South Texas (YESTexas) 2024
Summer 2024 Camp Registration is Open!
This year, we are excited to announce that we will host two sessions of the Young Engineers of South Texas (YESTexas) week long summer camp. The cost for camp attendance will be $200. We are using a new online registration system. Camp registration is currently open for:
Students entering 6th through 12th grade in Fall 2024 are eligible to attend camp. The camps will introduce the departments in the Frank H. Dotterweich College of Engineering and provide a broad overview of different STEM career fields. Camps will be located on the TAMUK campus. Students will need to be dropped of at 9 am and picked up at 5 pm daily (except Friday, when we anticipate ending early and inviting parents for end of camp competitions). Lunch and snacks will be provided.
If you would like information about camp or other opportunities to visit campus with a student or group of students, please contact Dr. Bailey. We are actively looking for engineering firms to partner with us in creating more outreach opportunities for area students. Please contact the department if you would like to help!
