Texas A&M University-Kingsville

New Student Orientation

Welcome to the Javelina Nation! Our New Student Orientation programs are designed for our incoming freshmen (with no college credits or less than 12 transferrable college credits) and new undergraduate or transfer students (with 12 or more transferrable college credits) so that each of our new Javelinas can have a successful start to their first year at Texas A&M University-Kingsville.

Domestic students can attend one of our New Student Orientation Programs, Hoggie Days (incoming freshmen) or Transfer Thursdays (transfer students).  Attending an orientation session is mandatory for all of our incoming freshmen with less than 12 transferrable credits. The images below will take you to the Hoggie Days and Transfer Thursdays websites.

International Student Orientation (ISO) is a program for all incoming international students in F-1 or J-1 student status, including freshman, graduate, professional, transfer, returning students from leave, and exchange students. ISO is designed to help students learn about and understand important immigration regulations and procedures required of F-1 and J-1 students, confirm their arrival for required government reporting purposes, and to assist new students in adjusting to TAMUK.
