The public is invited to the first public astronomy viewing of the semester at Texas A&M University-Kingsville Observatory at 8 p.m. Thursday, September 22.
The free viewing begins at 8 p.m. in the observatory on the third floor of Hill Hall, located east of the Memorial Student Union Building (MSUB). Parking is available in the lot next to Jones Auditorium and Manning Hall, on the corner of Santa Gertrudis and Armstrong, and along Santa Gertrudis.
Weather permitting, the viewing will include observations of the globular cluster, double stars and the most recent supernova.
In the event of poor viewing conditions or inclement weather, there will be a video screened downstairs in Hill Hall.
