Spring A&M-Kingsville Concert Choir Performance Scheduled for Tuesday, March 27 at 8 p.m. in Smith Recital Hall

KINGSVILLE (March 21, 2007) — The Concert Choir of Texas A&M University-Kingsville invites the public to a free performance on Tuesday, March 27, at 8 p.m. in Smith Recital Hall, located in the Bellamah Music Building.
The group will be performing pieces from their annual tour, in which they are traveling to Three Rivers, Beeville, Corpus Christi and Laredo March 28-29.


Those pieces include works by legendary choral composer Williametta Spencer; Renaissance composer Orlando di Lasso; Brazillian composer Ernani Aguiar; a set by Finnish composer Einojuhani Rautavaara, based on the poetry of Federico Garcia Lorca; a spiritual by Josephine Poelinitz; and a well-known comical piece by P.D.Q. Bach titled “My Bonnie Lass She Smelleth.”
