Graduate Scholarship Criteria & Application


The Presidential Graduate Fellowship is for new (Fall 2017 admitted) full time students (Master’s or Doctoral) who are U.S. Citizens or permanent residents and who meet an academic merit criteria. It is open to all majors (preference will be given to STEM related majors).

The fellowship amount will be $3,000 per semester for three consecutive semesters for a total of $9,000. Students will have to maintain a 3.25 GPA while on this fellowship. The College of Graduate Studies will administer the fellowship.

Criteria for applying:

  • Applicants must be degree seeking and admitted as Master’s or Doctoral students for the fall 2017 semester.
  • Applicants must be U.S. Citizens or permanent residents.
  • Applicants must be nominated by their Department Chair.
  • Applicants must be enrolled full time while on this fellowship.
  • Scholarship applicants must maintain a 3.25 GPA.

Application steps:

  • After getting an admission decision to your program of interest, contact your Department Chair to seek nomination to the Presidential Graduate Fellowship.
  • Complete the Presidential Graduate Fellowship Application through Javelina Scholarships.
