Degree Status: Degree Status is granted a student who (1) has been admitted to Texas A&M University-Kingsville (TAMUK) College of Graduate Studies, (2) has submitted a GMAT score greater than the student's required ALPHA score which is calculated as 1020 - [ Undergrad GPA x 200 ], and (3) has a TOEFL score greater than 550 if an international student who has no degree from an accredited U. S. school.

In addition, Degree Status is granted a student who (1) has been admitted to TAMUK's College of Graduate Studies, (2) has been granted Probationary Status, (3) has earned a minimum GPA of 3.5 on the first 12 semester hour of graduate work attempted with at least 9 of the 12 hours being MBA core courses.

Probationary Status: Probationary Status is granted a student who (1) has been admitted to TAMUK's College of Graduate Studies, (2) has submitted a GMAT score which is lower than the student's required ALPHA score, but is greater than the student's required BETA score calculated as (1020 - [ Undergrad GPA x 200]) x 0.90, and (3) has a TOEFL score greater than 550 if an international student with a degree from an accredited U. S. university. International students who do not have a degree from a U. S. school are not eligible for Probationary status.

Conditional Status: Conditional Status is available only to TAMUK undergraduate seniors and baccalaureate graduates who have a minimum GPA of 2.6. Conditional Status allows a student to complete up to 9 graduate hours without filing a GMAT score.

If the student receives an "I" (Incomplete) in a graduate course while in Conditional or Probationary Status, the course is counted as part of the hours allowed with zero grade points being awarded until the "I" is removed.
