Requirements:
- Must be a Texas resident
- Be enrolled as a regular student in an eligible program at an eligible institution (May be less than half time)
- Must be an undergraduate student
- Financial Need: Federal Methodology
- Satisfactory academic progress
- Selective Service registration requirements: Compliance required
- No default on a federal loan
- No refund owed on a federal or state grant
- US citizen or "eligible non-citizen" as defined by federal methodology: (1403 students, or non-immigrant alien students eligible to be classified as Texas residents not eligible)
- Not borrowed in excess of federal student aid limits
- Sign Statement of Educational Purpose and a Certification Statement on Overpayments and Default
- HS diploma or GED
